Miked up

Many thanks to everyone who came along last night to Dalgety Parish Church, to the organisers and  to the Church office staff.  £700.00 was raised and the band enjoyed the evening very much, especially the green room with tea, coffee and chocolate cake, it’s such a treat!

We were pleased to be using our new mikes and stands for the first time, thank you again DBCC.  Thanks to Donald Ewing for the photo below, and to Grace Ewing for allowing her grandfather to play.

Thank You

All the members of After 8 Mince are deeply indebted to Dalgety Bay Community Council for the recent community grant of £600.

We have used this to buy new microphones and stands.

October 2014

Huge thanks to the Gourlays for inviting us to play at Rhona’s 70th birthday lunch in Dunfermline last weekend.  We clocked up a few firsts – first birthday party, first time being filmed while singing and playing (should have sent that one coming!) and first time we have had  a whip round instead of a raffle.

Donations were made to the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.   The money raised in the whip round will be donated to Kidney Kids Scotland.

Our next outing is to Dalgety Parish Church on Saturday 24th October, doors open 19:30.   Tickets are available from the Church Office, priced £8.00.   Last time this included interval refreshments, featuring some particularly impressive home baking, the sort that’s always been in evidence long before any tv shows…  So,  whether you are there for the cakes or the songs , we look forward very much to sharing your company.
